YOU ARE AN IDIOT. Have you heard of supply and demand. It has nothing to do with democrats, Republicans or Independents. It is simple Economics 101 and if you went to college you had to take the course. When China and India are using far more oil due to tech booms in their countries it effects the world oil supply thus creating more of a demand thus raising the price. Yes speculators are inflating the price but not by 60%. This problem began 30 years ago with Jimmy Carter and has not been fixed.

On fox buisness news Eric Bolling went to the ceo's of teh major drilling companies in teh us and asked how long to get the gas to our tanks if the ban was lifted. From the day the ban is lifted it will take 2 years to set up the pump off the FL coast get the oil, refine it and put it in your tank. TWO YEARS! GO NEWT GO!!!

Ha...That's the problem, is people like you who think they know what they are talking about because they took Econ 101 when they were a freshman in college. For idiots like you, the government can dumb it down to a simple supply and demand graph, and you buy it. Buddy, oil prices don't get set in a vacuum, there is much more then supply and demand.
Now on the issue of demand, you can't just look at one country, overall World oil demand rose under 1% this year, while prices rose 30% in 4month.

Try a Big 10 college with a 3.75 GPA and it is the #1 school in my field. Haven't been 18 for 20 yrs, not a moron and since I grew up in Saudi Arabia where I lived on ARAMCO's compound and have traveled the world with my line of work I'm sure I have a better understanding of world politics than you. I also believe I have been in charge of more financial contracts as P&G, The Pentagon, Dell, 04 Olympics in Greece, TI were a few of my accts. Now I am in charge raising 2 Republican boys.

I don't know where you get your info but you may want to check your fact. Worldwide oil consumption was est. to be 1 bbl/d but it currently is running at 1.5 bbl/d. Consump. in the US is down but in China and India it is up in fact it is up by 10% in China. The avg. usage is 85 bbl/d so do the simple division that I was taught and that # is 1.8% (I believe that to be greater than 1%).

What happened when the Gas Prices were going up before the LAST Elections, and the Democrats were Blaming BUSH and the rest of the Republicans, and the Democrats said Vote for us and Will FIX THE PROBLEM!!! Well the Democrats Took over, Took Control, and yet prices have Doubled or more since! Blame the Oil company's seem to be the Answer right, Look at all the money they're making. What about the freeken Government that makes far MORE money per Gallon of Gas for doing NOTHING AT ALL!!! 0 Risk!

Do you realize that Exxon/Mobil posted the highest profits of any corporation in the history of the world last year? And someone has to pay taxes, especially for a trillion dollar war! Why is it that the same people who like to say: "Freedom isn't free!" are the same ones who don't want to pay taxes? Do you drive on an Interstate? Did you learn to read in a public school? Fox Buisness News and CNBC are in no pockets. They tell it like it is. They have folks from both sides of the isle. I choose to listen to Eric Bolling (Wall Streets biggest gas trader at one time turned analyst) and the drilling CEO's that he has interviewed. Do you have a Petroleum Engineering degree? Then why should any one listen to you? Maybe you should become more educated on the subjest matter and you might understand the importance of drill here drill now.

We need to drill NOW if for anything to keep US Dollars in the US! How are you going to charge your Electric CAR? There's not enough power NOW! A hot day and power goes out already. Obama doesn't want ANY Nuclear Power plants, so is Magic Fairy Dust going to power the Cars? The poor people can't afford new Electric Power cars anyway. You can't even build that many in the Numbers needed any time soon. What about all the cars already on the road, what a waste! So do nothing for another 10+ years?
